摘要 :

Aggregation-Induced Emission (AIE) and its Enhancement (AIEE) represent transformative
phenomena in photochemistry, enabling a non-emissive or a weakly emissive molecule to a strong
fluorescence/phosphorescence molecule upon aggregation. While extensive research has explored
in the development of organic AIE luminogens (AIEgens), the integration of metal compounds
with AIE properties has opened a new avenue for the development of advanced luminescent
materials. In this study, I review the design, synthesis, and photophysical properties of rhenium
metal complexes derived AIE/AIEE molecules, with an emphasis on their mechanisms such as
Restriction of Intramolecular Motions (RIM) and their diverse potential applications. This work
may provide a platform for the next-generation luminescent materials and expand the scope of AIE
research across multiple disciplines.
